As a mother navigating different stages of life—from pregnancy and breastfeeding to graduate studies at Harvard and a demanding career as a biostatistician—our founder found herself questioning skincare products she once relied on. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, she stopped using some of her favorite products after becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the potential risks associated with certain ingredients. Products that felt like risks she was willing to take in one phase of life no longer felt worth taking in another.
Over time, she realized the problem was deeper. Skincare should move with people through every stage of life—without compromising on ingredient integrity, quality, or performance.

The Nordic influence came from time spent in Scandinavia, where beauty felt different: simpler, quieter, more intentional. There, luxury was not built on excess, but on quality, restraint, and trust in what was essential.

We leave out what we believe doesn’t belong—including phenoxyethanol, PEGs, silicones, and added fragrance—so every formula reflects the same uncompromising philosophy.
